PRIVATE SESSIONS

September 22 & 29 September + 6 October 2023

Details: 

• This course is for a person who can sew with minor help where needed
• A Basic Bodice Block is prepared, from which the Shift Dress Pattern is constructed
• The enrolee cuts and stitches her Test Dress and transfers any alteration to the pattern pieces
• Then a Shift Dress is cut and constructed and can have minor style variations
• Course-goers can bring their own Sewing Machine and Overlocker (Sessions 2 and 3), if they are very well acquainted with them
• Machines should be serviced and in good working condition
• Sewers receive a take-home workbook with Pattern Making and Sewing Instructions for future reference

• EVERYTHING IS SUPPLIED:

• Pattern Making Equipment to take home and all Required Materials
• Calico for your Test Dress
• Suitable Fabric to sew your Shift Dress
• All threads, interlinings, notions, etc. to complete the course

Drawing Shift Dress Pattern

Session 2 : Friday 29 September  :  Timeslot as per student

Pin, Cut and Stitch the Test Dress

Fit and fit again… and once more if required.  It is a process

Make adjustments and refine the pattern accordingly

Session 3 :  Friday 6 October  :  Timeslot as per student

Stitch your Shift Dress

Finishing can be done at home if not finished in class.
